In Tarrasch variation in french defence black have many ideas but for f4 move the main idea is a5. Here in this post we are going to get details of the all the ideas involved in the move a5.
One of the most logical line white can play here is e4 e6, d4 d4, Nd2 Nf6 . Here for Nf6 white have to do something with his pawn on e4. If white play exd5,exd5 then Nd2 will be a silly position for white as it blocks its own pieces.
That is the reason white will play e5,Nd7, white can play f4 in this position and we can play c5 and white play c3.
If you are facing something new in the opening stick to your principles but stay aware of what your opponent is doing.
The french defence will give you lot chances to attack the opponents pawn formation.
Here as a black we have to target d4 pawn. The best move for white is Ndf3. Cxd4,cxd4 here black's idea is to play a5
You should usually play on the side we are strongest. We are strongest on the queenside because we are having more pieces on queenside and we are having a slight target on d4. And the idea of playing a5 is to push all the way to a3 and make some weakness in the white position. If white play a3 to then b3 square will be out post for one of the pieces.
You need to know the ideas in the opening, Here shite main idea is pawn f5 and they prepare moves like g4,f5. White play Bd3, a4 Ne2 Nb6 ,0-0 g6, g4 then h5. If they play g5 then its a positional error, it will block all the ideas of white in the kingside. Black can continue with a3, b3 and Nb4. if they play h
, hxg4 hxg4, Nc4 Rb1 then Knight b4
